Enfosi is built around uncertainty. New Glaggles arrive, some are disguised Enphosians, and the team must identify the fakes before they threaten the statue. The hard part is not simply dealing damage; it is gathering enough evidence to attack the correct target without harming innocents and accumulating Strikes.
Enemy order, counts, modifier names, and punishment thresholds are update-sensitive in SMILE MORE. This hub explains the decisions that remain useful across those changes and marks the details you should read from the current match rather than inherit from an old wave chart.
Enemy decision Dex
Disguised Enphosian
First job: compare behavior and appearance before committing damage.
Response: isolate the suspect, preserve a clean view, then confirm.
Revealed threat
First job: keep it away from the statue and innocent bodies.
Response: call the lane, focus fire, and stop chasing once coverage breaks.
Wave pressure
First job: assign approaches and preserve resources for the dangerous part.
Response: regroup during calm windows instead of scattering for every target.
Modifier enemy
First job: identify what rule changed.
Response: verify its current cue and effect before relying on a historical label.
Boss encounter
First job: recognize the official boss identity and protect a safe rotation route.
Response: use the dedicated Gergro, Borgack, or Risio guide.
Strike-linked danger
First job: stop uncertain attacks and understand the active penalty.
Response: restore discipline before the punishment compounds.
Read the crowd before shooting
Start each arrival with a baseline. Notice the normal Glaggles’ movement, spacing, direction, and visible features. A suspect is meaningful only in comparison with that wave and difficulty. Do not turn one remembered tell into a universal rule: Mild can simplify recognition, while higher difficulty and future updates can change how reliable a cue is.
Move your camera so targets do not overlap. If two bodies cross, delay the shot rather than guess which one you tracked. Use short callouts such as lane, color, position, and movement direction. In squads, one player should own the final confirmation while others hold lanes; four players firing at the same ambiguous cluster creates less information, not more.
Once a target reveals, draw it into clear space. Separate explosive effects from the remaining crowd. Keep the statue visible or assign a teammate to it. The correct target can still become a bad chase if every defender leaves the objective.
Prepare for waves without memorizing stale numbers
The Waves Guide uses preparation checkpoints rather than presenting an unverified fixed order. At the start of a wave, identify approaches, health, ammunition, cooldowns, and each player’s lane. During the wave, preserve a clean inspection area and communicate confirmed threats. After the wave, refill and reposition before shopping or chasing optional movement.
If a current run shows a boss marker, special enemy, or modified rule, update the plan immediately. Save burst and healing for the event you can see, not for a historical wave number from an older build. When recording a wave sequence, include difficulty, player count, modifier, build date, and whether the observation came from a complete run.
Understand modifiers as rule changes
Modifier enemies and modes are dangerous because the ordinary plan may stop working. A target may move differently, pressure another lane, create an extra effect, or make visual confirmation harder. The Modifier Enemies guide teaches a safe observation loop: name the cue, state what was directly observed, distinguish it from a guess, and assign a counter that does not depend on uncertain statistics.
Do not copy a roster from a pre-overhaul page and label it current. Public signals support continuing interest in special enemies and EXTRA FEELINGS-style changes, but the exact live roster and multipliers need game observation. Sprug is a good example of a searched entity whose present behavior should be recorded before it receives a fixed claim.
Protect the run from Strikes
Strikes punish careless decisions around innocent targets. The safest prevention is procedural: identify, isolate, confirm, then attack. If a team begins guessing, pause damage and reset the camera angle. Explosives and wide effects should wait until the threat is separated.
Community guides connect repeated mistakes with additional punishment, including the Eye of Enphoso and the Sobber state, but exact triggers and durations can change. The Strike System Guide explains how to observe the current UI and recover without presenting an old threshold as permanent.
Strikes are also feedback. Ask why the wrong target was hit. Was the view blocked? Did two players call different suspects? Did someone use an area effect? Did a fast class overshoot? Fix the cause before resuming. A run with lower theoretical damage but clearer decisions often survives longer.
Assign squad responsibilities
A useful team divides information and response. One player watches the statue and central lane. Another inspects a side approach. A ranged player holds a clean finishing angle. A recovery or control player preserves the team after a mistake. Roles can overlap, but every critical job needs an owner.
Use concise callouts. “Left lane, rear, moving against flow” is more actionable than “that one.” Repeat a confirmation before committing scarce burst. If the target disappears into a crowd, say that the identification is lost; confidence should not survive after the evidence does.
Solo players must perform every job sequentially. Keep the statue in frame more often, shorten pursuits, and route past health and ammo resources between pressure windows. A mobile class helps coverage only if it returns under control.
Difficulty changes the quality of evidence
Mild, Smile, and Maniac should not be treated as cosmetic labels. Current mode behavior must be read from the live selection panel and match. Recognition aids, enemy pressure, boss behavior, and penalties may differ. A tell that works on Mild may be deliberately reduced at a higher setting.
When comparing advice, check the named difficulty first. Also check team size and modifiers. A solo Maniac observation does not establish the ordinary Smile wave order, and a coordinated squad’s strategy may assume callouts and recovery that one player cannot reproduce.
Enemy observation checklist
For any newly encountered enemy, record the displayed name if present, wave context, difficulty, player count, appearance cue, movement cue, revealed attack, effect on the statue, response that worked, and UTC check date. Leave a field unknown if the match did not prove it. A clean “not yet confirmed” is more useful than a confident but wrong counter.
Capture behavior across repeated encounters before claiming a fixed pattern. Server latency, another player’s effect, or a modifier can make one event look like an enemy ability. Repeating the situation under controlled conditions separates the enemy from the rest of the match.
Common enemy mistakes
- Treating every unusual animation as proof of a disguise.
- Following an old appearance tell without checking the current difficulty.
- Shooting through innocent Glaggles at a confirmed target.
- Spending all ammunition before a visible boss or special event.
- Chasing a revealed enemy until nobody can see the statue.
- Reporting a modifier effect without naming the mode, build date, or other active modifiers.
- Continuing to attack after the team loses visual identification.
Enemies questions
What is an Enphosian in Enfosi?
It is the hostile fake hidden among incoming Glaggles in the game’s official premise. Players must identify the disguised threat and protect the statue.
Is there a permanent enemy order?
Do not assume one. Record the current sequence with difficulty, modifiers, player count, and date because active development can change waves.
Why did I receive a Strike?
Inspect what the current UI says and review whether an innocent target was hit. Exact thresholds and follow-up penalties require confirmation in the live build.
Should everyone inspect the same target?
Usually one player should lead confirmation while teammates maintain coverage. Multiple views help; multiple uncontrolled attacks do not.
